Romal Capital and Nifty Places continue improving energy efficiency at Liverpool Waters’ Aquitania

Romal Capital is continuing to invest in the experience of residents at Aquitania, its 135-apartment development at Liverpool Waters, by working with Nifty Places to develop new ways of reducing unnecessary energy use and helping residents manage household costs.

Every apartment at Aquitania already features Nifty’s integrated smart-home technology, including smart lighting and heating that residents can control using familiar wall switches, a dedicated tablet, voice commands or the app.

The latest energy-management functionality is now being launched to give residents clearer information about their energy use. It will also help them make better use of heating schedules, temperature controls and remote management to identify opportunities to reduce wasted energy and lower their household bills.

The new functionality will be introduced gradually. Participating residents will be invited to share their feedback, allowing each improvement to be properly tested and refined before it is made available more widely.

The aim is to make energy information simple and useful without compromising comfort. Over time, the improvements could help residents manage their household costs while reducing the environmental impact of everyday living across the development.

Greg Malouf, CEO of Romal Capital, said:

“Our commitment to residents continues long after they move into their new home. By working with Nifty, we are continuing to improve the technology within the apartments and explore practical ways to help residents understand their energy use and manage their household costs.”

Curtis Ashworth, Founder and Managing Director of Nifty Places, said:

“Smart-home technology is about much more than energy saving. It should make everyday life easier and continue delivering new benefits over time. By building on the smart lighting, heating, voice and app controls already used at Aquitania, we can introduce useful new functionality while helping residents make more informed choices about their energy use.”

The work at Aquitania reflects a shared commitment between Romal Capital and Nifty Places to continually improve the resident experience and demonstrate how smart homes can continue evolving long after a development has been completed.
