The ‘National Museums Liverpool’ is a group of museums and galleries. Included are the International Slavery Museum, Merseyside Maritime Museum, Lady Lever Art Gallery, Museum of Liverpool, Sudley House, Walker Art Gallery, Piermasters House, World Museum and Border Force National Museum.
These diverse venues attracted more than 3 million visitors last year and total visitors to date this year stands at an impressive 1,412,193. These are a spellbinding group of free museums and galleries housing varied collections which are among the most important and varied in Europe and contain everything from Impressionist paintings and rare Beatles memorabilia to a lifejacket from the RMS Titanic.
Awards won include Excellence in Business Tourism 2017 and Large Visitor Attraction for the Lady Lever Art Gallery also 2017.
